We would like to share with you the latest information regarding CSI’s plans to return on-campus.

Spring Quarter 2020: All classes will continue online

Summer Quarter 2020:   Starting all classes online on 7.6.2020 through 7.31.2020*, tentatively returning to campus on 8.3.2020 (subject to change)

*At this time, CSI anticipates to resume on-campus classes and operations beginning on Monday August 3rd, 2020.  This date is tentative, and it may change as we get closer to August. Until then, we will continue to teach our students online and work remotely. Our students and staff continue to inspire us with their passion to learn and develop, their compassion and courage, and their ability to champion new things now more than ever!

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy.  We miss seeing you on campus! I am so proud of each and every one of you; your resilience and your ability to adapt to extreme circumstances has greatly contributed to our success as we have taken our classes and operations online during this time. Each and every one of you are what makes CSI Strong both in the classroom and in the workplace.

Summer enrollment has begun and we will begin the 2020 Summer Quarter on July 6, 2020 online. We look forward to working with all of you remotely!

We are in this together! Please reach out if we can be of any assistance.

Dear CSI community,

The 2020 Spring Quarter is now officially on its way! Students, faculty and staff became Zoom masters practically overnight and though our campuses are empty, we have found that even remotely we can have meaningful interactions, experiences and most of all a rich learning environment. We have grown as an institution through the hard work and dedication of our community.

We are hopeful the 2020 Summer Quarter, which starts in July, will start on campus. Enrollment is starting now and we are watching the recommendations of our states and regulatory agencies to ensure we proceed with the return to campus appropriately. We hope to see you in person, while social distancing, of course!! If we continue our classes online, we look forward to having you continue with us remotely.

Sincerely,
Julia Lowder

Dear Students,

Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as we work to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The Winter Quarter has now ended and we are all getting ready for Spring. The Spring Quarter will start online for all classes on April 13th 2020. Though the goal is to return to classes on campus as soon as possible, we understand that this may take some time since changes are happening fast. Meanwhile, please take the time you have now to handle your personal situation, take care of yourself and your loved ones and most importantly stay safe and healthy.

We will communicate with you regularly on how to prepare yourself to be an online student and what to expect from an online class. Let’s look at this as an opportunity to expand our horizons through online learning. Our academic department is working tirelessly to ensure that your experience online is seamless and engaging.  We are planning to hold classes virtually during your regular session times. You will log in, and attend as if you were on campus, while in fact you can enjoy the privacy and comfort of your home. You will have lecture, assignments, quizzes as usual as well as new ways to chat with class mates and your instructors.

I understand that some of you are concerned about this process and have never taken a class online. I want to reassure you that we are here to support you every step of the way. I also know that you may also wonder about how attendance will be taken, how books will be distributed, and many other academic questions. We will provide this information to you as it becomes available. In the meantime if you need to enroll in another program, or have a specific question about your studies – do not hesitate to reach us at: csiadmission@csinow.com or academics@csinow.com

During this time, when the world is facing the COVID-19 pandemic, we are having to make the kind of adjustments personally and professionally we would have never considered likely. It is in this time we need to be extra kind and compassionate. Everyone working at an academic institution right now is dealing with an inordinate amount of uncertainty. Staff in supporting roles are working long hours and having to lead in a situation that evolves quickly and with little preparation. At CSI we are very fortunate that we are able to provide ALL of our classes and activities online! Staff will start to work remotely Friday March 20th supporting our students and providing a much-needed seamless transition.

We are very proud of our students, staff and faculty whose creativity and resourcefulness have amazed me through these challenging times. Cooperation and collaboration are happening between all members of our community to find workable solutions in such unusual circumstances. I am proud of our organization having made the investments in our infrastructure to digitize our school and seamlessly continue operations.

Our staff and faculty have exhibited leadership and commitment to offer engaging curriculum and activities so that our students can continue their studies uninterrupted, and continue working toward their personal, academic, and professional goals.

Our admissions operations are continuing during this time so that new and transfer students are able to apply for any of our programs. In addition, our support staff which includes the Student Affairs Department, the Records Department, DSOs, IT, and Front Desk will all also be accessible. We value our interpersonal relationships and will continue to offer continuity of service for our community to stay connected.

CSI transitions to online courses for two-weeks of Spring Quarter 2020

Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Computer systems Institute will start the Spring 2020 courses online. This decision was made with the current COVID-19 information available from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization, and state and local health officials.

The current Winter quarter classes will continue as usual.

  1. The institute will extend Spring Break by one week. The Spring quarter start date will be April 13th and classes will be held online from April 13 through April 26 at this time. We will assess where things stand with COVID-19 daily and provide updates as new decisions are made.
  2. Students participating in an externship, whose employer is not in operation, please contact the academic department at your campus.
  3. CSI operations will continue. Students are welcome to come to campus.
  4. We are still working through some of the more specific details and will communicate those as needed.

We believe these actions are our best options to ensure our community’s health and safety. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely with local, state and federal health officials.

Updates will be communicated via email and posted on www.csinow.edu/coronavirus/
Please email academics@csinow.com for specific questions.

Sincerely,
Julia Lowder
