The healthcare field needs employees with a variety of skill sets to keep everything running smoothly. CSI students can choose the medical assisting track in the Healthcare Career Program which prepares students to take the certification exams they need to pursue a variety of in-demand healthcare careers.

Available Tracks

The clinical track of the Healthcare Career Program provides students with an introduction to the medical field and the opportunity to pursue the professional industry certifications needed for a clinical medical assistant. This medical assisting program consists of courses, covering clinical, administrative, and laboratory procedures, as well as medical terminology, phlebotomy, and other academic concepts needed to be successful in the healthcare industry.

The healthcare field needs employees with a variety of skill sets to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Medical Assisting Tracks: This course of study provides you with the training you need to be a medical assistant. We combine classroom lectures, laboratory time, and hands-on training to give you a well-rounded education.

While no previous medical experience is required to be successful in our Healthcare Career Program concentrations, it is important to ensure your personality is a good fit for the field. Healthcare workers generally possess the following traits:

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Empathy
  • Dependability
  • Ability to handle stress
  • Integrity
  • Self-control

Some of these qualities are inherent, but others can be taught. Throughout CSI’s Healthcare Career Program, you’ll build your communication skills, as well as develop a heightened ability to handle stress.

Whether you enroll in our medical assisting track, we will go above and beyond to prepare you for relevant certification exams. Our instructors will offer guidance for deciphering test questions, administer practice exams, and more.
