W3 Schools

In each qualifying CSI program, students prepare for certifications geared toward their career. By attending class, completing assignments, participating in lectures, and practicing the skills taught, students prepare themselves for real-world tasks and certification exams.

Industry-specific certifications provide significant advantages to professionals and job candidates. They allow participants to be strategically positioned in the interview process that may lead to gainful employment. Some of the key benefits of industry-specific certifications include better marketability that leads to higher earnings, improved academic performance, and confidence in one’s abilities and skills. Certifications promote an industry standard and a commitment to a level of knowledge and learning that can be relied upon. Like a professional license, certifications offer structured, reliable evidence of skills.

Certification

Certification exams are sponsored by different organizations and are developed to ensure that professionals meet standards of excellence. These organizations develop criteria related to job functions and skills and the certification exams test candidates on their ability to perform tasks.

The organizations that certify professionals are known nationally and internationally. Some of them are Microsoft, CompTIA, W3C, American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) as well as others. They develop the exams, establish passing scores, and issue results and certificates.

Students should plan ahead to take their certification exam. There is a process to qualify for a certification exam voucher that all students must follow.
